As Breakpoint 2025 gets underway, one pundit has dubbed Solana as the perfect fit for China, citing the network’s speed and scalability. Already, Solana is making inroads into the Chinese market as it targets positioning itself as the leading blockchain for the superpower.

Solana Is Perfectly Suited For China, Says Analyst

Joseph Chee, Chairman of Solana Company, has revealed that Chinese industries are an ideal match for the Solana blockchain. Chee shared his thoughts in a keynote address at Breakpoint 2025, Solana’s flagship annual global conference, noting that the network’s capability aligns with local Chinese requirements.

Right off the bat, Chee noted that Solana’s speed and scalability give it an edge in China, as it meets the requirements of several local enterprises. Chee, doubling as the founder of Summer Capital, highlighted Solana’s user-friendly and vibrant perks, describing it as a needle-mover for local adoption.

He specifically mentioned telecommunications, logistics, and electric vehicles as key sectors for Solana applications in China. Solana ranks among the fastest blockchains, capable of processing over 50,000 transactions per second under real-world conditions.

“I think Solana is suitable for the Chinese because of its performance,” said Chee. “It’s fast, cheap, scalable, user-friendly, fun, and vibrant.”

Solana’s ambition to corner a significant chunk of the Chinese market is no walk in the park. At the moment, BNB Chain holds a strong presence in China, with Ethereum and its layer-2 chains recording impressive numbers.

A Valiant Attempt To Broaden Market Reach

Already, Solana has begun efforts to increase its market share in China. Solana has organized and hosted several Accelerate APAC events in Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, drawing thousands of developers and entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, the launch of the Solana Name Service in China and localized branding have generated buzz for the network. A positioning for enterprise utility is expected to become a key driver of adoption in Chinese ecosystems, given the country’s total prohibition on speculative and settlement use cases for cryptocurrency.

Back in 2021, Chinese authorities issued a blanket ban on cryptocurrencies, forcing thousands of Bitcoin miners to leave the country. Despite the ban, enterprise use cases for blockchains have skyrocketed in China, with institutions favoring government-aligned ledgers.

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
