Financial markets rarely move in straight lines, and cryptocurrencies follow this rule with even greater intensity. While many investors anticipate a sudden vertical breakout, sustainable rallies typically develop through structured phases. XRP, a digital asset closely tied to real-world payment utility, appears poised to follow this more disciplined trajectory when momentum fully returns.

Finance coach and market commentator mrcauliman recently highlighted this dynamic in a post on X, explaining that XRP’s next major move will likely unfold through a repeating cycle rather than a single explosive surge. His analysis shifts attention from hype-driven expectations to a more grounded, flow-based understanding of price action.

Utility Drives the Initial Push

XRP’s price movement often begins with increased network usage. As transaction volume rises across the XRP Ledger, liquidity in the market becomes absorbed. This process creates upward pressure on price, not through speculation alone, but through actual demand for the asset’s utility in value transfer.

This type of movement carries more weight than short-term trading spikes. It reflects genuine activity within the ecosystem, which strengthens the foundation for continued growth.

Pullbacks Reset the Market

After each upward move, the market naturally retraces. Traders take profits, short-term participants exit positions, and the price temporarily declines. These pullbacks play a necessary role in maintaining a sustainable trend.

Rather than weakening the market, these corrections remove excess leverage and stabilize price action. They allow stronger hands to accumulate while clearing out speculative positions that could otherwise create instability.

Higher Bases Signal Strength

Each cycle of movement tends to establish a higher support level. As demand absorbs available supply at lower prices, the market finds a new equilibrium above previous levels. This pattern reflects a gradual tightening of supply, especially when long-term participants hold their positions.

This process creates a staircase effect in the price structure. XRP does not simply rise; it builds a stronger base after each cycle, which supports the next upward move.

A Repeating Market Cycle

The pattern remains consistent: price pushes upward, pulls back, stabilizes at a higher level, and then advances again. This cycle continues as long as demand persists and supply remains constrained.

This behavior aligns with broader financial market principles, where accumulation and consolidation phases drive long-term trends. XRP’s utility-focused design reinforces this structure by linking price movement to real usage rather than purely speculative activity.

Why a Straight Rally Is Unlikely

A straight-line rally often signals unsustainable conditions driven by excessive speculation. Such moves typically end in sharp reversals that erase gains quickly.

A step-by-step climb, however, reflects a healthier market environment. For XRP, this suggests that any meaningful rally will develop gradually, supported by ongoing demand and repeated cycles of accumulation. The path may include volatility, but the structure points toward steady, long-term growth rather than a single dramatic surge.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
