PANews reported on November 20th that Luma Labs has completed a $900 million Series C funding round to expand its research and deployment of multimodal AGI. Luma will collaborate with Humain to build a 2GW supercomputing cluster called "Project Halo," expected to begin deployment in the first quarter of 2026 and be completed by 2028-2029. This funding round was led by Humain, with participation from AMD and others. Luma emphasizes that AGI needs to be jointly trained using multimodal signals such as text, video, audio, and images to drive the development of general artificial intelligence.
