Hedera integrates with Axelar and unlocks cross-chain asset transfers across 60+ blockchains, boosting liquidity and dApp access.

In a significant move, the Axelar and Hedera integration is now officially live. This important development opens up the door for cross-chain asset transfers. These can take place across more than 60 different blockchains. Crucially, this involves no complicated process of bridging. This is a very important moment for interoperability in the Web3 ecosystem.

New Gateway Enhances Hedera’s Interconnectivity and Liquidity

One such development is especially exciting. It comes in the midst of HBAR price pressure. The token is currently hitting an area of key demand. This integration has strategic benefits. It could help to stabilize the value of HBAR over time by increasing the utility.

Hedera’s interconnection with Axelar opens a gateway to direct connection. This is an access to liquidity pools. It also opens up diverse decentralized applications (dApps) across Web 3. Users have the option to easily transport assets between networks. This helps to increase their financial capabilities in a big way.

A new gateway now links Hedera with other key networks. The main impact is huge. The Axelar bridge uses Hedera to plug directly into more than 60 interconnected ecosystems. This creates a massive network of possibilities for the users.

Users are now able to transfer assets. This goes between Hedera and other supported chains. It is done via the strong infrastructure of Axelar. This gives them a much wider variety of options for interacting between chains and promotes greater flexibility.

Several Hedera ecosystem projects are already doing something. They are putting Axelar in their platforms. Leading Hedera decentralized exchange, Saucerswap, is one example. It has Axelar integrated directly into the user interface. This shows early adoption.

This makes the cross-chain transfers much more accessible. It benefits everyday users. This is done without having to go through multiple steps or use external tools. This makes the user experience smoother and aids in the adoption of it.

According to CoinMarketCap data, HBAR is currently trading at $0.1252. This is a decline of 13.39% in the past 24 hours. Despite this, the integration intends to have long-term growth.

Secure Transfers and Expanded Multi-Chain Participation

Secure transfers are powered by Delegated Proof-of-Stake or DPoS. Axelar has a DPoS consensus mechanism. This makes all cross-chain transactions reliable. This powerful security model creates user trust.

When users want to transfer assets, it is processed on Axelar’s network. This is the case between Hedera and another blockchain. Axelar’s validator network verifies and processes the transfer in a highly efficient manner. This provides transaction integrity.

The protocol uses smart contracts. These provide programmable cross-chain communication without any issues. This is a crucial feature in a complex dApp development. It enables automated and secure interactions.

This allows developers to create innovative applications. These applications are able to span multiple networks well. This promotes a truly connected Web3 environment. Developers are given new tools and capabilities.

For Hedera users, this opens another avenue. It allows for more involvement in the larger multi-chain ecosystem. They can access more liquidity, more dApps, and more opportunities.

Moreover, this integration makes the overall utility of HBAR more useful. The token becomes more versatile in the wider crypto space. This increased utility can be a driver of future demand.

At the end of the day, this partnership promotes interoperability. It enhances Hedera’s standing in the Web3 world. This helps to create a more connected and efficient digital economy for everyone who uses it. The future is bright for cross-chain functionality.

Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future

The post Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. “It’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress,” writes Pipes. Getty Images Washington is addicted to taxing success. Now, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is floating a plan to skim half the patent earnings from inventions developed at universities with federal funding. It’s being sold as a way to shore up programs like Social Security. In reality, it’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress. Yes, taxpayer dollars support early-stage research. But the real payoff comes later—in the jobs created, cures discovered, and industries launched when universities and private industry turn those discoveries into real products. By comparison, the sums at stake in patent licensing are trivial. Universities collectively earn only about $3.6 billion annually in patent income—less than the federal government spends on Social Security in a single day. Even confiscating half would barely register against a $6 trillion federal budget. And yet the damage from such a policy would be anything but trivial. The true return on taxpayer investment isn’t in licensing checks sent to Washington, but in the downstream economic activity that federally supported research unleashes. Thanks to the bipartisan Bayh-Dole Act of 1980, universities and private industry have powerful incentives to translate early-stage discoveries into real-world products. Before Bayh-Dole, the government hoarded patents from federally funded research, and fewer than 5% were ever licensed. Once universities could own and license their own inventions, innovation exploded. The result has been one of the best returns on investment in government history. Since 1996, university research has added nearly $2 trillion to U.S. industrial output, supported 6.5 million jobs, and launched more than 19,000 startups. Those companies pay…
