What Time Does ‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms’ Come Out? Here’s How To Watch

A new era in HBO’s Game of Thrones universe begins tonight. Keep reading for everything you need to know about watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the highly anticipated prequel that will expand the saga and introduce new characters from Westeros’ past.

Set 70 years after House of the Dragon and a century before the main series, the spinoff follows two unlikely heroes — “a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg,” as they journey across Westeros. “Great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends,” according to HBO’s official synopsis.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is based on the Dunk and Egg fantasy stories written by George R.R. Martin. The first six-episode season adapts the first novella, The Hedge Knight (1998). Martin is heavily involved in the series, serving as co-creator and executive producer.

“The show is meant to be a very different type,” Martin told The Hollywood Reporter in January 2026. “It turned out very well, and I’m very happy with season one. The casting was a home run. [Showrunner Ira Parker] is terrific and seems to have the same priorities I do — he’s trying to do something that’s very true to the characters.”

During this period, the Targaryens still rule the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet faded from living memory. “This doesn’t have any dragons or big battles,” Martin added. “It has a field and a lot of tents and some horses.”

If fans are wondering how A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will compare to Game of Thrones, one of HBO’s most-watched and most-decorated original series of all time with 59 Primetime Emmy Awards, showrunner Ira Parker said the prequel is just like the flagship series, but “without all the stuff.”

“We have one of the ingredients — two unusual characters like Arya and the Hound, or Brienne and Podrick — who are paired together and having conversions,” Parker told THR. “I hope that’s what [made Thrones work]. It’s a big part of what it was for me.”

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
