  • The briefing will occur before a meeting between President Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on October 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

The request came from Dr. Kevin Rudd, Australian Ambassador to the U.S. He asked Nova to provide an update on its Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project.

The briefing is scheduled before a meeting between Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and President Donald Trump on October 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

Nova’s U.S.-listed ADRs closed up 110.30% but fell about 16% in after-hours trading. The Australia-listed shares gained over 80% during local trading.

The Estelle Project sits roughly 100 miles northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. Nova describes it as among the world’s largest undeveloped gold assets.

Gold and Antimony Holdings

The mining site is projected to hold more than 9.9 million ounces of gold across its four most promising deposits. At Tuesday morning’s gold price of $4,140 per troy ounce, that’s worth approximately $41 billion.

The site also contains antimony, a critical mineral used in defense applications and battery technology.

In early October, the Department of Defense announced a $43.4 million investment in a Nova Minerals subsidiary. The funding targets development of domestic antimony sources.

The Australian Consul-General visited the Estelle site in August. That visit highlighted the project as a key part of U.S.-Australia collaboration on critical minerals.

Mining Sector Rally

Other Australian mining companies traded higher following Nova’s announcement. Fortescue Metals Group and Australian Mines saw gains, along with Rio Tinto.

The Trump administration has increased focus on domestic supply chains for critical minerals and metals. This has benefited several mining companies operating in the U.S.

MP Materials operates the only functional rare earth mine in the U.S. The stock is up more than 500% year-to-date.

Trilogy Metals holds a 50% stake in a major mineral mining project under development in Alaska. Shares have gained more than 490% this year.

Lithium Americas is developing what could be the largest lithium mine in the Western Hemisphere. The stock has risen over 180% in 2025.

Support from U.S. federal, state, and local agencies has strengthened Nova Minerals’ strategic position. Government backing has brought increased attention to the company’s Alaska operations.

The formal request for a briefing ahead of the Trump-Albanese meeting marks a step forward in U.S.-Australia efforts to secure critical mineral supply chains.

Nova Minerals was asked to prepare materials on both its gold and critical minerals operations at the Estelle site. The briefing will inform discussions between the two leaders later this month.

Why Morgan Stanley’s revised 60/20/20 portfolio is a wake-up call for investors

The post Why Morgan Stanley’s revised 60/20/20 portfolio is a wake-up call for investors appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Morgan Stanley’s Chief Investment Officer, Mike Wilson, has upended conventional wisdom surrounding the classic 60/40 portfolio, advocating instead for a 60/20/20 mix. Gold now joins bonds as a direct allocation for investors seeking resilience in a time of inflation and market volatility. A new framework from Morgan Stanley Instead of relying solely on bonds to offset equity risk, Morgan Stanley recommends a 60/20/20 model that shifts 20% of the portfolio into gold, positioning it as a superior inflation hedge over Treasuries and suggesting shorter-duration bonds to optimize rolling returns. Wilson explained: “Gold is now the asset that demonstrates resilience, surpassing Treasuries. High-quality stocks and gold serve as the most effective hedges.” This marks a break from tradition, as gold outperformed bonds as the classic diversifier for equity portfolios over the last two decades. There has been a global uptick in gold purchases lately, with El Salvador, the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India, and China), and Poland all ramping up purchases to historic levels, and central bankers expecting to buy more gold. For investors, this means revisiting assumptions about risk protection. Gold’s safe-haven profile and independence from real rates have converted it into a portfolio mainstay. Morgan Stanley acknowledges that U.S. equities offer “historically low upside” over Treasuries, while long-term bonds are under pressure from rising yields and tight credit spreads. Implications for investors For investors, the new split offers greater protection against inflation and geopolitical risk, which is critical as central banks face supply-side dilemmas and surging deficits. For the U.S. Treasury, Morgan Stanley’s revised portfolio falls like rain on a picnic, as macroeconomist and goldbug Peter Schiff pointed out: “The only way to go from a 60/40 portfolio to a 60/20/20 portfolio is to sell bonds. This amounts to Morgan Stanley reducing U.S. Treasuries to a sell. This could not…

‘Great Call By The Tournament’

The post ‘Great Call By The Tournament’ appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. MASON, OHIO – AUGUST 18: Jannik Sinner of Italy (L) and Carlos Alcaraz of Spain pose for photos with the Rookwood Cups after Sinner retired from the men’s singles final match during Day 12 of the Cincinnati Open at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on August 18, 2025 in Mason, Ohio. (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images) Getty Images In the wake of a disastrous final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz this year, the Cincinnati Open has shifted the date of its finals for 2026. The finals will return to a Sunday – Aug. 23 – after it was held the past two years on a Monday afternoon. “[G]reat call by the tournament,” Tweeted ESPN’s Brad Gilbert. “[M]onday final wasn’t good for anyone”.” The decision to shift the finals date was made because of several factors, ranging from fans to sponsors to broadcast. “We feel strongly that a Sunday final will deliver the best tournament experience.” said Tournament Director Bob Moran. “We appreciate the ATP and WTA Tours working with us to make this change, which will benefit our attendees, partners, players and global broadcast audience.” In this year’s final, Sinner retired with an illness, handing the Masters 1000 title to his rival Alcaraz, much to the consternation of fans in Cincinnati. “I’m super, super sorry to disappoint you,” Sinner told the fans at the trophy presentation. “From yesterday I didn’t feel great. I thought that I would improve during the night but it came up worse. So I tried to come out, trying to make it at least a small match but I couldn’t handle more, so I’m very, very sorry for all of you.” The Monday final was also tricky this year because the new-look U.S. Open Mixed Doubles championship began the following day – Tuesday, Aug. 19.…
