Riyadh has issued an investment tender for naming rights to five main metro stations.
The stations in the first phase comprise Al-Murooj, Al-Nuzha, King Fahd District 1, Al-Rabie and Jarir District, the state-owned Saudi Press Agency reported, quoting the Royal Commission for Riyadh City.
The tender is open to local and global private-sector investors, with naming-rights contracts lasting more than 10 years.
Bids will be accepted online until May 10, after which they will be reviewed and winners announced.
Riyadh Metro is positioned as the world’s largest fully driverless transit system. The metro has carried about 120 million passengers since its 2025 launch, with an on-time performance rate of 99.8 percent, the minister of media, Salman Al Dossary, said in December 2025.
The kingdom is preparing to begin work on the first phase of its seventh Riyadh Metro line this year, which will run from the Diriyah Gate development in the north of the capital to the Qiddiya entertainment project in southwest Riyadh.
In October, AGBI reported that home prices near Riyadh’s metro stations had risen faster than in surrounding areas. Consultants overseeing extensions to the line have said they receive calls from investors asking where new stations are likely to be built.
